Leonardo Soares, Eng., Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) brings over thirty years of experience in construction and project management. He has earned a reputation for analyzing complex situations and finding practical, efficient and cost effective solutions to execute works. Mr. Soares has done prestigious restoration, renovation, and new construction projects such as Holt Renfrew, the Dominion Square Building, the Learning Activity Center at Lower Canada College, the Center for Canadian Architecture and others. He holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Concordia University and is member of the Ordre des Ingenieurs du Quebec.
Joseph Galantino, B. Civil eng., Director of Operations, brings to Altapex over twenty years of experience as a construction/project manager working for both owner/developer and general contractors. He was involved in prestigious projects such as the Montreal Casino, Les Cours Mont Royal, the World Trade Center, and the Intercontinental Hotel.
Benjamin Jiang, B. of Sc. and Master of Architecture, Estimator and Project Manager Assistant, has been working in the construction industry since 1990. He brings to Altapex his expertise in architectural and construction manager experience working in international construction & development companies.
Jose (Jo) Serrano, B. Civil Eng., Director Business Development, with specializations and analysis/design experience in Soil Mechanics, Foundation, Structural Steel Design, prestigious Executive Masters in Telecommunications and key courses leading to the Masters of Engineering and Master in Business Administration programs. For over 20 years, Jo has lead and managed a wide range of strategic initiatives. Jo continues to be immersed in the local real estate scene and has both completed an Architectural Technology Program and taught Building Inspection and Renovation at College level. Jo's 360 degree view of matters and managerial acumen brings an important asset to Altapex, its clients and the building industry as a whole.
Benny Fung, BComm, Controller, he brings to Altapex all his accounting experience working in international retail companies. Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) of the State of Delaware, he is in the process to be certified by the Ordre of Certified General Accountant.
Cynthia D'Onofrio, BComm, Executive Administrative Assistant, Ms. D'Onofrio began her journey at Altapex Construction on a part-time basis as a receptionist. Her commitment and dedication has earned her a position in the accounting department along side the controller. In additional to this position, she also acts as the executive assistant to the CEO and deals with clients.
